Last half-term Year 4 read The Elephant book in English and created amazing non-chronological reports about different types of elephants. In Maths, we tackled fractions and decimals and came out on top!

We then the best shape for a paper aeroplane during Science week. We investigated different shapes, sizes and techniques within their creation. We carried out test flights and measured the distances on our prototypes. Following this, we took our final designs outside for a final flight!

The class showed great enthusiasm and focus during the paper aeroplane investigation, the class worked well together and carried out fair tests with increasing independence. They demonstrated scientific thinking by using their results to explain why some designs flew further and suggesting sensible improvements showing teamwork, curiosity, and growing confidence.
