Over the spring term, Year 5 have been learning all about Shakespeare, focusing on Macbeth. The classes have been acting out the scenes and using their experiences to write some emotive pieces of work, which has been exhilarating. They have enjoyed it so much that one even said, "I wish I could do more Shakespeare learning."
In maths, we have been looking at statistics and timetables, information that they will need to use in everyday life. Whilst they found it tricky at first, they soon got stuck in and most are now confidently reading timetables.
DT was another area that they really enjoyed as they had to make a swing using lollipop sticks, some of their pieces were very impressive. The task took a lot of dexterity, partner work and patience, which they showed in great abundance.
